2015
This is where it all started for Accidental Brewery, in the kitchen at home. We used a Grainfather which had a capacity of about 20 litres.
2016
We soon outgrew the kitchen and a corner of the garage was converted into a nano brewery.
June 2018
A big milestone in the history of Accidental Brewery – We moved in to the 1st floor of The Old Stables in Lancaster. A converted stables building dating back to the late 1800’s.
Oct 2018
At the end of October 2018, we opened our nano brewery and bar on the first floor of The Old Stables, Lancaster. Over the next 15 months, we served hundreds of beers, had tap takeovers from Cloudwater, Verdant, Overworks to name but a few; we brewed many of our own beers and collaborated with Hawkshead brewery for our first birthday.
March 2020
March 2020 came along and so did COVID-19. Overnight our bar was shutdown. However, we were not going to let something like a global pandemic stop us. Within 24 hours we had pivoted our business to be 100% online sales with local deliveries of our beer and many guest beers in cans, bottles and growlers.
2020-2021
After the first lockdown, when we were allowed to open outside, we setup our Beer Yarden at the back of The Old Stables bar.
During the more inclement months we erected gazebos over the seating and used heaters and blankets to keep our customers snug.
We also begun to setup our new brewery in Morecambe.
Finally in October of 2021 we re-opened our bar upstairs.
